How do we get to the base?
The Putorana Plateau is one of the most inaccessible areas in Russia. There are no roads, no airports, not even proper trails. Any base (whether fishing, hunting, or tourist) is located in a completely off-road zone, and can only be reached by a combination of plane and helicopter, plane and all-terrain vehicle, or plane and boat and all-terrain vehicle. Everything depends on the specific location of the base and the time of year.
What are we going to catch?
Kitchen
A camp kitchen isn't just about a gas stove and bags of freeze-dried buckwheat. It's about feeding a group hot, tasty, and filling meals in any weather, any wind, rain, snow, or 35°C, so they don't just survive but enjoy their food. A camp chef is someone who knows how to work with what they have: a campfire, a river, fish, berries, meat, grains, a minimum of cookware, and a maximum of imagination.
Technique
Sever airboats are our main transportation on the Putorana Plateau. They allow us to navigate water, ice, snow, and tundra without roads or the risk of getting stuck. No all-terrain vehicle, boat, or quad bike offers such versatility and speed. When the helicopter can't land due to weather, the Sever always stays in touch and delivers people, fish, and equipment.
On the Putorana Plateau, equipment isn't a luxury; it's a matter of survival and the quality of fishing. The "Sever" is what allows us to catch trophy taimen, lenok, and char every day, and smoke them by the fire in the evening. Without it, it's simply impossible to survive here and enjoy true wild fishing.
