Putoransky Rubezh fishing base

Location: Erachimo River, middle reaches, Putorana Plateau, Krasnoyarsk Krai. Coordinates: approximately 68°21′ N, 92°14′ E. Altitude: 480–550 m. Nearest settlement: Turukhansk, 220 km as the crow flies.

"Putoransky Rubezh" is one of the most remote and rugged fishing lodges on the Putorana Plateau, operating since 2017. This isn't a comfortable lodge with a bathtub and a glass of wine, but a true field camp for those willing to trade comforts for unparalleled fishing and 100% wilderness.

Transfer

We'll reach the base on Sever airboats. It's 220 kilometers as the crow flies from Turukhansk, 5 hours of unforgettable views.

Fishing

The Yerachimo River is one of the most productive taimen rivers in the entire Putorana Plateau. It maintains a high density of large taimen (15–40+ kg) thanks to the complete absence of local populations and poachers.

Main trophies:

Taimen 10–45 kg (average size of fish caught in 2023–2025 – 18–25 kg).
Grayling 0.8–2.2 kg (in tributaries and reaches).
Whitefish, lenok, pike up to 15 kg, Arctic char in the upper reaches.

Best periods:

Summer: July 20 – September 20 (open water).
Winter: February – April (ice fishing with tip-ups and jigging at depths of 8–25 m).

Base record: megaTimeni 47 kg (August 2022) and 43 kg (September 2024).

Fishing at the Putoransky Rubezh camp is organized in a comfortable and safe format with daily trips. We don't offer multi-day rafting trips—guests return to the camp each evening.

What is a typical fishing day like?

Morning

Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the Yerachimo River. After breakfast, guests gather with their guides, prepare their gear, and head out onto the water.

Daytime fishing

On powerful boats with jet engines, we travel up or down the Yerachimo River and fish the most promising spots:

Clinging to rocky shores
Deep pits and exits from them
Riffles and rifts
Snags and underwater shelters

Guides select fishing spots individually based on guests' skill level and preferences. Fishing is primarily done with spinning rods and fly rods. The main trophies are taimen, lenok, grayling, pike, and whitefish.

Evening

Return to base. A hot dinner (often made with freshly caught fish), a sauna overlooking the river, and relaxation in comfortable surroundings.
