The most fishing-friendly river at the end of summer. This is where we boast about catching the largest taimen. The Severnaya River tour is rich in grayling, large whitefish, pike, and perch. There are many rapids and islands along the route. It's a very beautiful fishing route, with beautiful scenery. Fishing is a pleasure throughout the entire trip. The river is literally dotted with side tributaries where taimen fishing takes place. The banks are both rocky and sandy.
Lake Agata on the Putorana Plateau
Lake Agata is one of the largest and most beautiful lakes on the Putorana Plateau. Situated in the northern part of the plateau, it is considered a true gem of the region. Its remoteness, crystal-clear water, and rich fish fauna make Lake Agata a magnet for anglers seeking a truly wild and seldom-visited destination.
Lake Agata lies at an altitude of approximately 300–400 meters above sea level. It is approximately 30 km long and up to 8 km wide. The shores are predominantly rocky, with numerous bays, capes, and rocky shoals. The maximum depth reaches 60–70 meters, with an average depth of about 25–30 meters. The water in the lake is exceptionally clear and cold, even in summer. The lake is surrounded by typical Putorana tundra and sparse forest. It has many small islands and underwater ridges, creating excellent conditions for fish.

How our week-long rafting trips with helicopter transfers work
We offer a classic 7-day helicopter tour with rafting—our most popular and well-rounded option. The tour begins and ends in Turukhansk.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the heart of the Putorana Plateau
Upon arrival in Turukhansk, our staff will meet you. We'll help you change clothes, purchase any necessary supplies, and transport you to the helipad.
A Mi-8T helicopter, fully loaded with rafting equipment, takes you to the headwaters of one of the Putorana Plateau's rivers. The flight lasts from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the chosen route.
After landing on a pebble spit or a comfortable clearing, you have time to make your first casts and try your luck. While your guests are fishing, the guides quickly set up camp, set up the kitchen, and prepare a festive dinner. In the evening, get acquainted with the river for the first time, discuss tactics, and relax under the stars.
Days 2–6: Main days of rafting and fishing
Each day begins with a hearty and delicious breakfast. Afterward, participants gather their personal belongings, board their boats, and continue their rafting journey downriver.
During the day, you will float independently, fishing the most promising spots:
- powerful pressure on the rocks
- deep holes and exits from them
- riffles and rifts
- snags and tributaries of small rivers
After camp is set up, the ranger team (guides) catch up with the group in a cargo boat and go ahead, choosing the best spot for the next night. A hot dinner, a sauna, and a comfortable campsite are ready for your arrival.
The group covers 10-30 km per day (depending on the route and weather conditions). Fishing takes place both from boats and from the shore. Guides are constantly on hand to suggest the best spots and assist with bait selection and fishing tactics.
Day 7: Completion of the rafting trip and return to Turukhansk
In the morning, we pack up camp and make the final drops. At the appointed time, a helicopter arrives and picks up the group. Flight back to Turukhansk.
Upon arrival, check into a hotel, enjoy a sauna, and relax. In the evening, you can celebrate the end of the rafting trip.
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, if time permits, we'll organize a short tour of Turukhansk. Afterwards, we'll transfer to the airport and say goodbye until we meet again.

Northern River
The Severnaya River, located on the Putorana Plateau, is one of the most attractive trophy fishing destinations in Russia due to its ecological purity and rich ichthyofauna. Key features include:
- Fish Species: The river is home to over 20 species of fish, including grayling, taimen, salmon, char, and sturgeon. Grayling and taimen are the primary trophy fish, although catching taimen is often limited due to its protected status (release is recommended).
- Fishing Tips: Trophy grayling fishing is possible using spinning or fly fishing. Evening fishing is especially productive when the grayling are actively "melting."
- Conditions: The river is surrounded by picturesque taiga and mountains, but the weather can be harsh due to the proximity of the Far North. Insect repellent and clothing for cold nights are recommended.
Lake Agatha
Lake Agata, also on the Putorana Plateau, is considered one of the region's most fish-rich and picturesque bodies of water. It consists of two parts (Upper and Lower Agata), connected by a channel, and is connected to Lake Severnoye.
- Fish species: The lake is rich in northern fish species, including grayling, char, taimen, and salmon. Trophy graylings reach 2–3 kg, and char are a popular target.
- Features of fishing:
- The lake's depth exceeds 180 m, creating conditions for large fish.
- Spinning fishing and underwater hunting are possible.
- Fishing is often combined with rafting along the channels or visiting neighboring lakes.
- Nature: The lake is surrounded by mountains up to 900 meters high, with crystal-clear water and unique flora. Encounters with wild animals, such as brown bears and Putorana snow sheep, are possible.
