Nature of the Putorana Plateau
The Putorana Plateau is one of the most mysterious and majestic corners of Russia, located in the northern Krasnoyarsk Krai above the Arctic Circle. It is a vast basalt massif covering approximately 250,000 square kilometers, the second largest in the world after the Deccan Plateau in India. It combines canyons up to 1,000 meters deep, thousands of lakes, waterfalls as tall as the Eiffel Tower, and pristine taiga.
