An uninitiated person might think it's some kind of special device often played with by children. However, this is not the case. A spinnerbait is a fishing tackle with its own unique characteristics and features.
Design Features
The beautiful word conceals a steel wire bent at a specific angle. At the top are attached petals that, when rotated, attract predators. At the bottom is a skirt, a sinker, and a hook.
- The structure has an almost right angle;
- The streamlined weight is shaped like a fish's head with prominent eyes;
- A large hook, size 2 to 5, attached to a sinker;
- The skirt is made of silicone; it creates a fringe-like appearance and conceals the steel lure. Many anglers use vibrotails or twisters instead of silicone.
The design allows you to catch large pikes, perches and other predators, even in heavily overgrown, littered waters.

Spinnerbait wiring
When the lure moves, it resembles a goldfish in an aquarium. All the petals on the skirt sway and rotate. The hook is hidden in the head, preventing predators from immediately noticing it. This is also an advantage for fishing in snags and thickets.
The device easily negotiates any water obstacle until it reaches the jaws of a toothy trophy. A weight located at the bottom of the device allows for flexible retrieval. It sinks easily to the bottom and rises confidently through water, grass, and rocks.
A spinnerbait is attached to a spinning rod or fishing pole. If the lure gets caught on something, a simple tug releases it. Large predators are caught with this lure. A large lure can catch taimen, not to mention pike.
Varieties of this bait
1. The classic spinnerbait model features a single blade located at the top of the rocker arm. The skirt and hook are located at the bottom.
2. With two petals, the design has a pair at the top. This allows for increased vibration characteristics. This modification is considered the most popular.
3. Spinnerbaits with multiple petals are less common, but they perform their functions better.
4. Products that have a turbine or propeller attached instead of blades are called buzzbaits. The rotation during reeling creates distinctive noises, vibrations, and oscillations. Small designs are most common, but they are excellent for catching trophy fish, grayling, and lenok.
5. A product that has a vibrotail or twister instead of a skirt differs from a classic spinnerbait in its attractive appearance, forcing the predator to attack.
