Anadyakan – an abundance of fisherman's trophies

After a helicopter transfer to one of the Putorana River's rivers, used by underwater inhabitants for spawning, you find yourself in a wonderful atmosphere of peace and quiet. The Anadyakan River emits all its amazing energy, which can perhaps only be compared to the paradise of the nature reserve. Even the various species of fish that inhabit its clear, cold waters accept and make this unique river a cradle for their emerging offspring. Afterwards, large, toothy predators grow up in a tributary of the Severnaya River, such as lenok, taimen, whitefish, grayling, and many others. This is clearly of great interest to anglers, and the exciting fishing often results in trophy catches and successful fishing.

Features of the Anadyakan River

A rafting trip on this river is truly relaxing with its tranquility and allows you to immerse yourself in the picturesque, unique nature of the Siberian taiga. One of the remarkable, exclusive advantages of this mountain river is its shoreline, which is steep and precipitous on one side and gently sloping on the other, dotted with numerous sandbars. These sandbars are ideal for fishing in the fast current, casting a spinning rod or fishing line just beneath the steep opposite bank. You can catch beautiful, large taimen, lenok, or grayling. You can also stop at these spots and enjoy the tranquility of this body of water while enjoying exciting trophy fishing. During the time when the group assembles for the Anadyakan flight, from late June to mid-July, the taiga is virtually free of mosquitoes and midges, which also contributes to the rafting experience.

This tour will be remembered by everyone.
The meal will not only be tasty, but also healthy.

What fishing methods are used in Anadyakan?

Due to the large concentration of various predatory fish, various fishing methods are used on the river. After spawning, the fish bite in abundance, whether on spinners, wobblers, mouse baits, or jigs, which, by the way, are most often used to catch large predators such as taimen, pike, and the like. Therefore, anglers have a diverse arsenal of tackle, including many existing baits and lures. After catching, for example, lenok, whitefish, or grayling, delicious Siberian delicacies are prepared right on the bank during the fishing stop, many of which can be found in restaurants and cafes. Perch and pike make amazing fish soups or cutlets. Moreover, if anyone wants to sample smoked, freshly caught fish in the open air, we demonstrate methods for preparing it without a smoker, on a grill, a pit, or an open fire.

What to be prepared for

The first thing we recommend for tourists and fishermen visiting us is to bring warm, dry clothing, as well as waterproof clothing, as temperatures can drop significantly at night. This is considered an absolute necessity when rafting. Otherwise, when visiting the Putorana Plateau, be prepared for unforgettable wonders that often surprise and delight guests of the Turukhansky District. Rich trophies of fish, which sometimes require a fight, proving their superiority and strength. Large predators never want to leave their native waters and will fight with all their might. Therefore, sometimes it is necessary to use skill and cunning to land a large taimen from the river. And upon returning from the route, many gain a wealth of fishing experience and unique knowledge. They learn the recipes and preparation of fish delicacies such as sugudai and malosol, which they then enjoy with their family and friends at home. A visit to the Anadyakan River remains etched in the memories of our guests, who share them on social media, reminiscing and admiring those joyful days spent in the Siberian nature reserve and competing with each other over the size and weight of their trophy catches.
