Taimen fishing: the legendary predator of Siberian rivers. Taimen is more than just a fish. It is a true symbol of Siberia's wild, untouched nature, a powerful and cautious predator that many anglers call the "river tiger" or "master of mountain rivers." Catching a trophy specimen weighing 15–30 kg, and sometimes significantly more, is a dream that drives people to travel thousands of kilometers and raft down turbulent rivers.

In Krasnoyarsk, taimen and nelma juveniles were released into the Yenisei River. In recent years, artificial reproduction of valuable fish species has been regularly carried out in Krasnoyarsk and throughout the Yenisei River basin. While the most significant news concerns the millions of Siberian sturgeon juveniles released in 2025 by Norilsk Nickel's subsidiary, the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company, releases of nelma and taimen juveniles also occupy a significant place.
