What is lipgrip?
This is a device for grasping and holding fish, helping to pull trophy predators out of the water. Similar in design to pliers or wire cutters, the lip grip allows you to grasp the toothy fish by its jaws and pull it out of the water. It also allows you to safely remove treble hooks or other hooks from the mouths of pike, taimen, and brown trout, without worrying about the predator injuring your hands.
Advantages and disadvantages
This design has many advantages, including:

These devices are divided into 2 types: plastic and metal.
Plastic
The lightest design, equipped with special heels at the ends, is a safer device that helps prevent unexpected injuries. However, plastic lip grips are used for smaller fish. It's important to note that they are fragile and lack high strength. Therefore, many anglers prefer metal lip grips.
Metal
Although these devices are more reliable, they have their drawbacks. A metal lip grip can easily penetrate a predator's jaw. The device can also fall, for example, from a boat and sink due to its weight and material. To prevent this, these devices are equipped with a lanyard that fits around the wrist.

Plastic lip grip models come in a variety of colors. They weigh approximately 70 grams and are 21 cm long. This model can be used to effectively secure a predator's jaw. Furthermore, the device floats and costs relatively little, around 1,000 rubles.
